Who wants a free copy of CJJ2?

So the galleys for CHARLIE JOE JACKSON’S GUIDE TO EXTRA CREDIT are here!

But here’s the weird thing. The galley is not the finished book. Not even close, actually. I’m making tons of changes as we speak, yet the galley is the one that goes out to reviewers, bloggers and other opinion-makers. Isn’t that weird? That doesn’t happen in with movies or plays. Could you imagine Martin Scorcese letting someone review his unfinished movie? I can’t. But whaddya gonna do. That’s the book business. And I ain’t no Martin Scorcese.

Anyhoo… want a free signed copy? If so just comment to this post, and I’ll pick one winner at random, or possibly whomever costs me the least amount of postage. Contest ends whenever the number of entries hits a non-embarrassing number.

What will be embarrassing is if you’re related to everyone who enters. (So says a book sibling via Nan.)

My son….another non-reader loves your book. He actually reads it at school and brings it home so he can re-read the story to me. Thank you for writing a book that my kid really enjoys. Please write more!
    Thank you

My 5th grade students will be thrilled thrilled to know that there is a # two coming out. We guessed it. Anyway, they would be even MORE thrilled to receive an advance copy for the class library. They can review it for you(?) Then the students can compare it to the one that ultimately gets published. I see some learning in this 🙂

    Best,

My reluctant 9-year-old son just finished CJJ’s Guide to Not Reading this week and we’re about to review it for GeekMom.com. He loved the book and I just need to sit down without getting interrupted to draft up his words into a review post. We’d LOVE to get a signed copy of your new book’s galley!

Entering to help you reach a proper non-embarrassing number, but live too far for postage … unless you email it. Working with reluctant readers every day brings great appreciation for the CJJ stories. Keep them coming!! 🙂

Like the book, but Charlie Joe Jackson is a cliche name, in my opinion. 🙂

My highly gifted third grade fakers think you are hilarious.
They suggest a tip for tricking teachers into believing they are ZONING. Just open a book and smile and laugh occasionally. The teacher will never know (well except for the fact that she notices they aren’t turning pages).

My sons are loving reading your book. They keep reading over each other’s shoulders and racing to get their chores done first. Thanks for that! We cannot wait for your next book! A signed copy would be great but we’ll be sure to pick up the book either way!

My name is CJ Christopher James which I find ironic to Charlie Joe… Anyway I just finished the first book and LOVED it can’t wait to see how things play out with Hannah and Jake. So yeah I’d love to enter this contest.
