I used to love the television show DALLAS.

I can’t vouch for the new version that starts this week, but back in the 70’s and 80’s, it was appointment viewing. Gripping, soap operatic stuff.

But did you realize that DALLAS and children’s literature have a lot in common?

Neither did I.

That’s because they don’t, actually.

But since this is a children’s author’s blog, and I just felt like saying I loved DALLAS, I figured I should come up with a link between the two.

So how about this:

JK Rowling and J.R. Ewing kind of sound alike.
