ONLINE CONTEST: NAME MY TOUR, WIN A BOOK!
July 21, 2012
Wanna win a free book? Keep reading.
I’m going on a little mini-tour this fall – to Florida, Arizona, Kentucky and Ohio, with stops at the Target Festival in Minneapolis and the Tween Reads Festival in Houston – to promote my second book, CHARLIE JOE JACKSON’S GUIDE TO EXTRA CREDIT.
It’s very exciting, but it doesn’t feel real yet. I think that’s because the tour doesn’t have a name.
All good tours have names. The Beatles had the Magical Mystery Tour.
The steroidy bike riders have the Tour de France.
And my awesome YA colleagues at Macmillan have their wildly successful FIERCE READS tour.
(You can check it out here btw.)
Names just make tours sound so official. Which is why I need one.
Here are the ideas I’ve come up with so far:
The Where-Is-Everybody? Tour
Charlie Joe Jackson’s Guide to Bedbugs
Not Particularly Fierce Reads
I don’t really like any of those.
So… I need a name for my tour… and I want you to help me! Please send in your suggestions by commenting on this post, and the winner will receive gratitude, some sort of hastily-designed logo, and a FREE SIGNED COPY OF CJJ2.
On your mark… get set… name.
