This week I’m going down to the Texas Librarians’ Association Conference in Houston to talk about reluctant boy readers. I can’t wait to meet all those amazing librarians, who do heroic work to get the kids of Texas reading.

But mainly, I can’t wait to meet Sadie.

You know who Sadie is, right? She’s the beautiful, brilliant Texas librarian in Stephen King’s epic book 11/22/63.

I don’t mind saying I fell in love with Sadie while reading that book. Who didn’t?

I’m really hoping she’ll be there. Maybe she’ll invite me to her school for an author visit!

I don’t care if she’s fictional, this is important to me.
